PORTERVILLE — Alan Pundt, a member of the American Legion Post 20, put it best when he said the day was not to “honor war,” but to “honor warriors.” It was with this intent that many turned out on a wet and hazy Memorial Day morning for the 32nd annual Avenue of Flags observance ceremony at Porterville Cemetery.
