Fact: Limousines for voters.

Unbefuckinglievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some States Are Employing Unusual Tactics to Get Voters to the Polls

Chances are, many Americans have been on the other end of some of this week's final frenzied efforts to get voters to the polls.

Every method of lifting people off the couch and getting them to the ballot box is on display.

While flyers and persistent telephone calls are old standbys, some particularly creative tactics being employed across the country.

Free Flu Shots and $1 Million

In Houston, people who register to vote can get a free flu shot at "vote and vaccinate" clinics.

In Denver, some local democrats are providing limousine service to take voters to the polls.

California has outfitted a city bus as a mobile ballot box.

And in Arizona, there's a ballot initiative this year hat could make one lucky voter a winner -- even if his or her candidate loses -- by entering everyone who votes this Tuesday in a $1 million lottery.

"All we're saying is do what you are supposed to -- vote -- and we will reward you with a chance to win a million dollars," said Dr. Mark Osterloh, mastermind behind the lottery initiative.

To give those tired of predictable phone calls from candidates something new to hear, Robert De Niro and Tony Bennett lent their voices to some high-profile candidates.

"Join me, Tony Bennett, in voting to re-elect Hillary Clinton," says Bennett in a push for the New York Senate candidate.

While Bennett's smooth vocals and other more outlandish methods may get voters' attention, experts say the best way to get people to the polls is more traditional.

"If someone knocks on your door, you have maybe between a 5-10 percent greater chance … that the person will subsequently turn out to vote," said Alan Gerber, co-author of "Get Out the Vote."

Though door-to-door canvassing may be old-fashioned and painfully labor intensive, according to experts, it works.
